Former ZP member threatened and intimidated, complains to Old Goa Police

PANJIM:  Former ZP member Savanna Ferrao from St Cruz constituency has filed a complaint of threat and intimation by her political rival from the constituency.

In a complaint to the Old Goa Police, Ferrao alleged that on evening of August 5, one Tommy Oliveira, in possession of weapons, threatened her husband and used abusive language.

She said the person allegedly came with weapons in the car and started shouting at her daughter in front her house and threatened to kill her and husband.

“My daughter, who was outside did not recognise the person, but the neighbours told us it was one Tommy Oliveira, who was using abusive language,” she said.

She alleged that since last many years the person is not in good terms with her, owing to political rivalry and complaints filed against him.

Old Goa PSI Chetan Saulekar informed Herald that a complaint has been registered. 

“The accused has been absconding and the case is under investigation,” he said.

He revealed that the case has been filed for threatening and using abusive language under Section 506 (2).
