MARGAO: The Chinchinim Citizens Forum (CCF) has strongly condemned the recent hike in LPG and petrol prices which have made the lives of the common man “miserable” and expenses “unbearable.”

CCF said, “Presently people are forced to pay Rs 783 or more for a gas cylinder leading to uninvited troubles by also hiking the petrol prices to Rs 93 per litre driving the aggrieved poverty-stricken people.”

“This is happening on account of the faulty policies of the BJP government. This Forum is pained to point out that neither the BJP Govt nor the elected representatives are concerned about the hardship of the people since their needs are looked after and taken care of by the people and therefore they are least concerned about the genuine needs of the electorate,” CCF’s Neves Rebello alleged.

CCF requested the government and the elected representatives to look into the genuine problems of the people and alleviate their sufferings by reducing the prices of the LPG and petrol/diesel failing which the aggrieved persons may be forced to take to streets seeking much denied justice.
