PONDA: Betki-Khandola sarpanch Dilip Naik on Wednesday said the foundation stone for the Rs 22 crore Betki-Khandola Hospital Project will be laid on Independence Day (August 15).
Addressing media persons, he said around 10,000 square metres have been acquired for the project.
The existing PHC building will be converted into old age home for senior citizens, Naik said in the presence of Deputy Sarpanch Ameena Wadkar and Panchas.
The new 29-bedded hospital with additional beds and facilities has been proposed by minister Govind Gaude.
