VASCO: The Vasco Police on Wednesday arrested four persons on the charge of allegedly raping a minor girl.
The police arrested Mukund Rawal (35), Guru Venkatesh Guruswamy (30), Kush Jaiswal (30) and Aftar Hussain (23), all residents of Vasco.
Vasco PI Kapil Nayak said the accused were arrested following a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, who stated that her daughter was reported missing from the house since August 11.
The police started search operations and traced the minor girl on Tuesday. The police immediately recorded her statement in the presence of an NGO representative and revealed that the victim was sexually assaulted by four persons separately on different occasions.
The police also found that one of the accused was working as a driver for the complainant and had sexually abused the minor in August 2021 and March this year. The other three accused allegedly raped the girl separately since August 11.
