PERNEM: Pernem Police arrested four Dhargal residents for allegedly assaulting a local from the area.
According Pernem PI Jivba Dalvi, Sharda Shirgaokar from Mahakajan, Dhargal in her complaint stated that at around 4:45 pm on Tuesday, four persons pelted stones and assaulted her son near their shop under construction at Dhargal.
Acting on the complaint, Pernem Police arrested the four accused namely Vijay Shirgaokar, Vallabh Shirgaokar, Abhishek Shirgaokar and Shan Shirgaokar, all residents of Mahakhajan, Dhargal.
An offence under Sections 324 and 504 R/w 34 IPC was registered.
Later they were released on bail.
A chapter case under Section 107 of the CrPC against the accused has been sent to Pernem SDM for preventive action.
Further investigation is in progress.
