Four held for killing bulls at Seraulim

MARGAO: Colva Police on Monday arrested four persons all belonging to the same family for illegally slaughtering two bulls next to their house at Bandhar in Seraulim. 

The carcasses of the two bulls along with the meat and skin that was removed have been preserved for further investigations.

Police received a call at around 2.30 pm of the illegal act being committed at Seraulim and they rushed to the site. They arrested Shahruk Bepari, aged 26 years, along with 60-year-old Hussain Bepari, 21-year-old Wasim Bepari and 45-year-old Shabir Bepari.

They have been booked under Section 429 of the Indian Penal Code along with Section 11(l) of the Cruelty to Animals Act and Sections 4, 5, and 7 of the Goa Animal Preservation Act.
