A Panjim police team that was on a look out for the alleged accused, traced Ashpak Ali, Allabaksh alias Toufiq Taligutti, Yogesh alias Yogi Shah and Angad alias Rajveer Kashyap at Patto and arrested them. Two others are still evading arrest.
The incident in the capital during the early hours of August 14 was essentially a result of attempts by two groups of taxi operators to monopolize the offshore casino taxi business. The rivalry led to the assault on taxi operator Shanur Dargad.
The accused had fled from the crime scene leaving Dargad bleeding.
