Four youth from Taleigao were seriously injured, after their vehicle rammed against an electricity pole on the Baga Bridge on Wednesday at about 8.30 pm.
According to Calangute police, the incident occurred when the four youth were proceeding in their Maruti car (GA-01-R-2040) from Arpora towards Baga.
The four injured youth were rushed to GMC Hospital in Bambolim for medical treatment.
The impact of the accident was such that the electricity pole was bent in the middle. The Maruti car was also badly damaged.
Meanwhile, residents from Baga and Calangute have blamed the darkness for the cause of accident on the bridge. It may be recalled that this is the sixth accident on the Baga Bridge in June itself.
Last week, a man and his child fell into the paddy field after their scooter skidded off near the bridge. However, both escaped injuries, while in another accident, one person was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
