Fr Figueiredo appointed provincial of Panjim-Konkan

PANJIM, JUNE 13
Fr Ian Figueredo has been appointed Provincial of Panjim-Konkan Province of Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) for 2010-16.
Fr Ian’s elevation from vice-provincial was announced by Rector Major, Fr Pascual Chavez in Rome on Saturday. He will succeed Fr Loddy Pires.
Loutulim-born Fr Ian, who has done his Masters in Formation from Salesian Pontifical University in Rome, was the Novice Master for 12 years, Rector of Panjim unit for six years and Rector of Parra unit for two years before being appointed as vice-provincial.
