PANJIM: Well known tiatrist Francis De Tuem was felicitated for his new 44th tiatr`Social Worker’ by NGOs, social workers and activists at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on Saturday.
Fr Eremito Rebello, Fr Bolmax Pereira, Vikas Bhagat, Sayad Iftia, Glen Cabral, Adv Hrudaynath Shirodkar, Alexyz, Tara Kerkar, Xencor Polgi, Sabita Mascarenhas, Orville Dourado, Anna Gracias and Anthony D’Silva were present.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers lauded Francis de Tuem for writing a powerful tiatr and signing Konkani songs on Goan political scenario.
In his new tiatr `Social Worker’, Francis de Tuem has created awareness on major issues plaguing the State such as illegal bungalow at Old Goa, railway double tracking, coal handling at Mormugao Port and diversion of Mhadei river etc.
Francis de Tuem was presented with a certificate by Brain Box Institute,a trophy by NGOs, activists and social workers and his own portrait in a caricature form by famous artist and cartoonist Alexyz.
In his reply, Francis de Tuem thanked the NGOs and activists and sought people’s support to fight burning issues concerning the State.
Lavisha Cardozo conducted the programme and Anthony D’Silva proposed a vote of thanks.
