PANJIM: National Student Union of India (NSUI) Goa has demanded that the children of Covid Warriors, be it the police, doctors, health workers who have lost their lives in the pandemic, must be given free education regardless of being an orphan or not.
“The Prime Minister of India on Sunday announced a number of welfare schemes for orphans only, but NSUI demands the same schemes must apply to the kin of the Covid warriors regardless of them being orphans or not,” said NSUI Goa President Ahraz Mulla on Monday.
NSUI further recommended that a govt job must be provided in the family of the person, who has lost his life being a Covid warrior. .
