PONDA: Veteran Freedom Fighter and journalist Shridhar Verenkar from Kurtarkar Nagri, Tisk-Ponda passed away following a severe heart attack on Monday.
Eighty-one-year-old Verenkar, who participated in Goa Liberation movement, is survived by wife, two sons, daughter and grandchildren. He worked as Correspondent for Herald.
The last rites were performed at a local crematorium on Monday evening.
