PONDA: Ponda residents are irritated over the lack of monsoon preparedness that has resulted in constant power cuts and blackouts.
Besides, erratic power fluctuations in voltages have damaged electric goods. Residents say, ironically when the electric bulbs go off they rely on kerosene lamps to illuminate their homes
However, Sanjeev Verenkar a Mardol resident says, “We are not blaming staff and linesmen, but the Department should provide spare parts and timely maintenance. Lack of simple maintenance work is the root cause of power outages.”
