Fruitful discussion with GMC Dean over Cardiac unit at SGDH: Minister

PANJIM: Skill Development Minister Vishwajit Rane announced that Goa’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI) has got an admission record of more than 3,400 students this year.

“My team at the Skill Development Department is continuously working towards digitisation. We are introducing new courses to meet the demands of the industry and to ensure that every youth in Goa is skilled,” said Rane.

On another topic, Rane, who is also the Health Minister, said he held a fruitful discussion with the Dean of Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim Dr Shivanand Bandekar and the Head of Cardiology at GMC Dr Guruprasad Naik about how to ensure that a state-of-art and full-fledged Cardiac unit is set up at the South Goa District Hospital.
