A six-year hunt for a fugitive from Sada Sub Jail came to an end when he was recently nabbed by the Baroda Police in Gujarat.

VASCO: A six-year hunt for a fugitive from Sada Sub Jail came to an end when he was recently nabbed by the Baroda Police in Gujarat.

Rajaram More alias Raju (33) along with three other accused, Xavier Rosario D’Souza, Rahul Rampraksh Sharama and Raju Movel, had escaped Sada Sub jail by bending the mess ventilator grills.

Mormugao Police had issued a ‘lookout’ notice for all accused across the country.

On January 17, the Baroda Police nabbed More, an under trial in a murder case, and handed him over to Mormugao Police on Tuesday.

More, a native of Gujarat had sought shelter in his home state after escaping from the Sada Sub Jail.

ASI Shantaram Naik, PC Vivek Naik, Deepak Lokhande and Pramod Tari visited Baroda-Gujarat to take custody of the accused.
