PORVORIM: A number of residents participated in the festival of Sao Joao with traditional fervour at Ranoi-Aldona.
Amidst a continuous drizzle, residents of Ranoi-Aldona gathered at their community well besides Mae de Deus Chapel and marked the occasion with fun and frolic to the accompaniment of music, bursting of crackers, rendition of traditional Mandos and Dulpods and distribution of sweets.
The festivities, which commenced with prayers at the Mae de Deus Chapel, also saw the annual Judeo being taken around the ward on the previous evening.
