Gadkari to chair maritime meet

PANJIM: Union Minister for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will be on day-long visit in Goa on Monday in connection with the 16th meeting of Maritime States Development Council (MSDC).

The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Gadkari at The International Centre, Dona Paula. The meeting is expected to be attended by delegates from across the country, including the secretary and senior officers of the ministry of shipping and chairpersons of all major ports.  
The meeting is hosted by Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) on behalf of the Union shipping ministry. Senior officers of the Inland Waterways Authority of India, National Shipping Board, Indian Ports Association and other maritime-related government organizations will attend the meeting.
