MARGAO: Work on repairing the road leading to Gandhi Market started on Tuesday nearly a decade after Ronita Ajgaonkar, then councillor of Margao urged Deputy Chief Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar stressing upon its urgency.
Ronita’s father Rajendra disclosed that presently only patchwork is being done as the monsoons are due anytime. “After the monsoons the road will be hot mixed properly,” he said.
Work is undertaken on the road leading to Gandhi market from T Corner which is the main entrance to the market.
