CANACONA: A 63-year-old man from Gaondongrim died after he fell from a tree at Xeller-Canacona on Sunday morning.
According to Canacona Police, Vithoba alias Bagdu Gaonkar died after he fell down on a rock from the tree. Grievously injured Gaonkar was rushed to nearby Community Health Centre, Chaudi, where he was declared brought dead.
Gaonkar is the resident of Indrawada-Gaondongrim and is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter and aged mother.
Police after conducting the post-mortem handed over the body for cremation on Sunday evening, added police sources.
