GAP has threatened to go on an indefinite hunger strike if the demands are not met by May 13. “On May 16 there is a board meeting of Town and Country Planning Department, we respect it. If the demands are not fulfilled then we will intensify the protest and go on a hunger strike,” Roshan Mathias said.
“Last four months we have been following the matter on PDA and RP with the authorities and the Minister but till now no concrete step has been taken. We will intensify our movement and go on a hunger strike if the demands are not met,” the GAP Convener Arturo D’Souza said.
GAP said that they would keep on making demands until all the PDAs across the State are de-notified and the Regional Plan 2021 is corrected.
The TCP Board will be meeting on May 16 to discuss the crucial PDA issue, wherein it is likely to decide to withdraw all the villages from PDAs.
