Vijai has committed that after Diwali the door-to-door garbage collection will be centralised, tendered and collected properly from the entire MMC jurisdiction. “The plant will be working and will have a clear agenda to handle the dump,” said Vijai. Taking a dig at Damu, Vijai said “He is angered as he has been sacked by the Chief Minister from ESG and because Goa Forward congratulated the Government he is trying to rake up this issue,” he said.
“Who is chairman of HPC? Government has taken one and half year to process the permissions for landfill site,” alleged Vijai.
“All is well in Fatorda except Sonsoddo and I agree that it is a problem. We are discussing the problem of Sonsoddo on priority and are planning on reducing the dump areas to least levels,” said Vijai.
