PERNEM: After welcoming the tourists with potholes, the piles of stinking garbage awaits visitors as they make their journey towards the Manohar International Airport at Mopa.
Starting its operations since January, the airport has now begun with the international flights.
“Heaps of garbage dumped at many places is a nauseating site,” said a villager and added that we should stop treating our guests to such stench on their way home.
Meanwhile, after the pictures of potholes on the internal road to the airport went viral, the administration ran about doing the damage control by doing some patchwork.
Meanwhile, the traffic on Nagzar Junction to Sukekulan-Mopa has increased at the work on the link road was underway. Locals claimed that warning signs regarding the ongoing work haven’t been put up which is endangering the lives of the motorists.
