PANJIM: Former Inspector General of Police Sunil Garg has challenged in the High Court of Bombay at Goa the North Goa Special Court order directing Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) to register a FIR against him in the alleged bribery case.
The Court has issued notices to ACB and the complainant, and the hearing has been fixed for March 9.
Vasco-based businessman Munnalal Halwai had approached Panjim Sessions Court on August 11, 2016 with the petition to direct ACB to register a FIR against Garg in the alleged bribery case. He had complained that Garg has demanded and accepted money to register a FIR at Ponda Police Station.
