GBA meet on ordinance on Friday

PANJIM, MARCH 10
The Goa Bachao Abhiyan  (GBA) has decided to call for a meeting of citizens and civil society groups at 4 pm in Panjim on Friday to decide to chalk out a course of action on the ordinance issued recently by the government to save an illegal portion of Cidade de Goa resort.
In a meeting called by GBA the ordinance was discussed threadbare by members. Convener Sabina Martins asked if a court order can be nullified by an ordinance, then what is the necessity of the law.
Martins said that the venue has not yet been decided but that it will most probably be held in Menezes Braganza Hall.  She said that GBA is just a catalyst and the people need to come in large numbers to make their voice known against the ordinance.
