GBSHSE elections on December 4

Nominations will be accepted on Nov 22 while scrutiny on 23 and withdrawals of candidature if any on 25

PANJIM: The elections to elect new board of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE), for a period from 2021-25, is scheduled on December 4, while counting will take place the next day. 

The new board to be elected will give representation to two assistant teachers one each in North and South Goa, Grade I Teacher category — one for North and South, Vocation Teachers — one each representing both the districts. 

One Headmaster, representing each of six designated clusters along with one Secondary Teacher and four Principals of higher Secondary schools — two each in North and South, will be also elected. 

The nominations will be accepted on November 22 while scrutiny will take place on November 23. Withdrawals of candidature, if any will take place on November 25. 

The Goa Board Chairman Bhagirath Shetye has asked all the higher secondary schools to grant permissions to their teachers to visit the polling stations to cast their votes.
