PANJIM: Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has written to various government agencies, including the Excise Department, to revoke all licences issued to the bar and restaurant owned by BJP leader Anil Hoble.
The order signed by GCZMA member secretary Narayan Gad issues directions to Excise Department, Department of Food and Drug Administration, Electricity and the Corporation of the City of Panaji.
“You are requested to revoke all the licences issued in order to run the bar and restaurant and other commercial activity while ensuring that all the illegal structures are demolished in strict compliance of law,” the order issued by GCZMA member secretary Narayan Gad reads.
NGT, on May 29, 2015 had ordered the demolition of illegal structures as Hoble had violated various provisions of environmental laws and directed him to pay a fine of Rs 20 lakhs for destroying mangroves and undertaking illegal land filling. Hoble paid the fine last month.
