PANJIM: The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) on Thursday finally held the hearing in connection with the show-cause notice it had issued a hotel for the construction work carried out on Vaingunim beach.
Representatives of the hotel and the two complainants, the local residents and Bhanu Shirodkar on behalf of the local fishing community were present for the hearing.
Meanwhile, a ‘Save Vainguinim Beach’ fund raiser has been launched online, to help the residents of the Vainguinim Valley, Dona Paula, one of the complainants, to fight this matter legally.
