PORVORIM: A social activist, Inacio Pereira, has filed a complaint with the Superintendent of Police and Porvorim PI that the document under Right to Information inwarded by him on January 5 in the office of Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has been stolen.
The complaint is filed against a GCZMA official. The document was seeking information under RTI against a resident of Porvorim, Clement Rodrigues who is the owner of an eco-resort at Canacona for CRZ violation.
The resort is located at Cola village in South Goa.
Pereira has urged the police to file a First Information Report against the GCZMA official under the Supreme Court directives.
He claimed that the inwarded RTI application was stolen and a snap shot was given by the GCZMA official to Clement Rodrigues.
He also said that the RTI applications are not to be revealed to Clement Rodrigues on whom the information has been sought from GCZMA. Pereira has said that the information was allegedly disclosed by an official working with GCZMA who doesn’t fear the law.
The Porvorim PI told Herald that the complainant has given documents to the office and lodged a complaint against the same office. “We will be conducting an enquiry in the matter and then decide what has to be done. The complaint was filed on Thursday at 1 pm and action will be taken accordingly,” the Porvorim PI said.
