VASCO: Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas BV, who was hailed for COVID-19 related relief work across the country, said that the BJP-led State government has totally “mismanaged” the COVID-19 pandemic scenario in the State with numerous people dying every day. It is necessary that everyone gets vaccinated to defeat the virus.
During interaction with the reporters at Dabolim International Airport on Tuesday, Srinivas informed that the State government did not have the vision to tackle the pandemic and therefore had the shortage of medicines, oxygen supply and beds. We have seen in media so many people in Goa are dying like anything. Pan India, the people have come to know that these (BJP) people can only do “Jumla”.
Srinivas also went on to say that these (BJP) people don’t even think about the downtrodden section of the society such as the middle class, labourers and migrants.
Considering that during the pandemic so many people and youth have lost their jobs, how are their families going to survive? he questioned.
Further, he also mentioned that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has suggested that the government should deposit Rs 6,000 in the bank accounts of the drivers, labourers and people who lost their jobs from the tourism sector. For this, the government should prepare a list and register people. For the last one year, people have been suffering.
“People have not only lost jobs but also lost their closed ones, opportunities in various sectors. Across India, the BJP governments have miserably failed in the expectations of the people and in tackling COVID-19 pandemic”, he added.
