GFA serves chargesheet to 14 players in Goa Pro League match-fixing probe

The Goa Football Association Ethics Committee has issued a detailed 288-page chargesheet to 14 players, most of them former members of Chapora Yuvak Sangh, in connection with the alleged match-fixing case during the Goa Professional League 2025-26 season. The investigation was initiated after the club terminated nine players in October 2025 and subsequently lodged a formal complaint along with an FIR at Mapusa Police Station. Retired DySP Sandesh T. Chodankar was appointed as the investigating officer to probe the matter. The accused players have been given 10 days to submit their replies to the committee. Based on their responses and findings, the Ethics Committee is expected to decide on possible sanctions in early March.
