GFG has warned that the lives of these youth are in danger as they had already told GFG that they were warned by the villagers not to disclose the story.
“The Crime Branch till date has not taken the statements of the five youth, (one girl, four boys) who have testified on record that they have seen Fr Bismarque with Ganesh and Darren after 11.30 pm at Uddear, when the five of them had gone to bake mackerels in the hay a little away from the point where Fr Bismarque and the two boys allegedly sat with their first carton of beer. The five youth have testified on record that they saw the three of them when they went to bake the mackerels at 8.30 pm, and again saw them when they returned from their party around 11.30 pm,” said Kennedy Afonso, GG president.
He continued, “The testimony of these five youth is extremely vital to the investigation as it contradicts the story of Ganesh and Darren, who are record saying that at 11.30 pm they were at Babal Mannos and Fr Bismarque was already swimming in the water. How can then they be seen at two places simultaneously is a mystery that needs to be explained.”
GFG will soon hold a massive public meeting to reveal the shoddy investigation done by the Crime Branch and the attempts they have made to sabotage and delay the investigation.
“The family of the deceased has also informed GFG that so far the inquest panchanama report of the first autopsy has not been given to them despite repeated requests made to the GMC officials and even to the Collector. GFG demands to know why these reports are hidden from the family and not given to them despite repeated requests,” said Afonso.
Afonso observed that nearly three months have passed since the police began the investigations and the objective of seeking justice has not been met till date.
GFG has also demanded that the Crime Branch send the vest for second DNA profiling immediately. It has stated that the second DNA on the vest is very vital.
