GFP president keeps all guessing

PANJIM: Goa Forward Party president and Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardesai continued to keep his coalition partners and political opponents guessing and speculating as on Saturday he reiterated that he might not be a Minister for long, at the same time ruling out instability in the BJP-led government.
He spoke to the media after his meeting with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar at his residence in Dona Paula.
During an event at Raia on Friday, Sardesai raised doubts of him remaining for long as a Minister in the Parrikar-led government. When asked about the same, Sardesai without elaborating said, “Yes, I had said I might not be a Minister. But that does not mean that government is instable or I am trying to create instability.”
“I know it is quite natural for somebody to infer that why should a coalition partner say he won’t be a Minister,” he said reacting to media reports.
When asked what he means by ‘he may be there as Minister or not’, Sardesai said, “Let us see…time is there…”
Recalling his statement at Raia, Sardesai said that I had said that “If all goes well, we will have economic model woven around Lokotsav within one year.”
“I had said that if I continue as minister I will complete it. I had said if all goes well I will have economic model woven around it within one year. I am not showing any kind of instability,” he stated.
Sardesai has lately been talking of Plan B to ensure a stable government. He had even targeted MGP for trying to destabilise the coalition government.
