Margao: Criticising the allegedly bad condition of the ESI COVID hospital Margao, Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai shared photographs taken from inside the hospital. The photographs have been making the rounds on social media.
“This is the state of the dedicated COVID-19 hospital at ESI Margao. A patient admitted there sent these photos and stressed that given the choice between hell and this place, he would have chosen hell. The Goa Chief Minister is heading Disaster Management please take corrective measures immediately” urged Vijai.
Sardesai also questioned the delay in providing Remdesvir drug to BJP MLA Clafacio Dias, who has been admitted at the COVID hospital.
Vijai claimed that Clafasio tested positive on July 1 and referred to the statement made by the Health Minister that Remdesvir needs to be administered between the 5th and 8th day of admission. “Today we are on the 10th day of him being admitted. Was he administered the drug? If not, was it because you didn’t have the drug even 2 days ago, which would have been his 8th day?” said Vijai.
Speaking about the condition of the MLA, a doctor said that he remains stable and may pull off a recovery.
