MARGAO: The Goa Forward Party on Saturday raised objections to the statements made by Chief Minister mocking the people, who are opposing the three projects, in the State.
General Secretary Mohandas Lolienkar said that the Chief Minister instead of giving a patient hearing to the demands of people is claiming that the persons opposing the projects are “Londonkars”.
“WRD Minister Filip Neri Rodrigues and Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias should make their stand clear whether they are supporting the statement of the Chief Minister calling the protestors ‘Londonkars’,” said Lolienkar.
“The Chief Minister by making such statements is pointing out to a certain religion and their followers who are opposing the projects in the State. The coal dust doesn’t see religion of the people,” reminded the general secretary.
Lolienkar warned that if the government doesn’t rethink and scrap the projects, the GFP will actively participate in the agitation.
