PANJIM: The Goa Forward Party’s youth wing has formed a special committee to monitor any instance of relaxing domicile clause or any other kind of injustice meted out to the Goans in recruitment procedures.
At a press conference on Friday, Goa Youth Forward President Raj Malik said that the committee led by Prajay Vaigankar will monitor all the advertisements to ensure that domicile clause is maintained.
“We will also agitate wherever we find that any institution has relaxed the domicile clause,” he said.
The move comes a day after Goa University withdrew its controversial advertisement that had relaxed the domicile clause. The youth wing backed by its women’s wing had launched a sustained campaign demanding scrapping of the advertisement as they argued it was paving way for entry of non-Goans into the State’s lone varsity.
“It is an important day as GU withdrew the advertisement which was detrimental to the Goenkars,” he said.
