PANJIM: Goa Government Employees Association (GGEA) on Monday wrote to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar demanding implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission scales to State-owned autonomous bodies and corporations.
“The employees working in various autonomous bodies and corporations were expecting that the revised pay scales under the Seventh Central Pay Commission would be implemented to them soon after their counterparts in government departments get the benefit as per the tradition/practices followed in the State,” GGEA president John Nazareth said.
He added, “Considering the delay in implementation of Seventh Central Pay Commission pay scales to the autonomous bodies and corporation, discontent is brewing amongst the employees who are now grouping and insisting that this organisation give a call of protest.”
Goa Government Employees Association  has appealed to the State government to take up this issue on a priority.
