GGEA to hold AGM on May 19

PANJIM: The annual general meeting (AGM) of Goa Government Employees Association will be held on May 19, at Goa State Co-operative Bank Limited, in Panjim.

According to a notice issued by Sameer Laxman Nagvekar, General Secretary of GGEA, the meeting will adopt the report of the General Secretary concerning the activities of the association and approve and adopt the audited statement of accounts of the association for the year from April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021, April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, and April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023.

The meeting will amend the by-laws 7(i) of GGEA and will appeal to government employees to contribute Rs 10 on a monthly basis, since earlier it was just Re 1.

The AGM will extend the term of the working committee as amended by laws of the association wherein the term of the association has been approved from two years to five years. It will also discuss the Golden Jubilee Celebration of GGEA, the notice said.
