GGF threatens action over police inaction at Navelim
HERALD REPORTER
MARGAO, APRIL 1
The Green Goa Foundation has threatened to take direct action if the police fail to control traffic at the Navelim junction till the ongoing SSC examinations are over.
Foundation Chairman Raison Almeida has taken strong exception to the failure of the police to man the traffic at the Navelim cross junction leading to traffic chaos on March 31 on the first day of the SSC examinations.
He pointed out that the traffic police appears to be manning certain stops which are known to be very lucrative and ignoring genuine need for traffic regulation at spots known for congestion.
“The GGF strongly demands that police be posted at all stops where traffic has increased because of the SSC exams and particularly at the Navelim junction to avert chaos and hardships to students, who are under stress due to the examination,” he added.
