PANJIM: A Thane-based Sadhana Builders Pvt Ltd has accused Goa Industrial Development Corporation for illegally blocking the use of the approach road to their housing project, which is adjoining GIDC’s Corlim Industrial Estate.
Speaking to media persons, the Managing Director of Sadhana builder, Veer Dhavan Gharg said that the company had acquired all permissions from Corlim panchayat, town and country planning department (TCP), North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) and GIDC for the project.
NOC for the access road, which is within the boundaries of GIDC was also provided by the corporation, he said. “But suddenly, GIDC revoked its NOC stating that the road is developed specifically for industrial purposes and not for residential purpose. They have also blocked the road and hence our housing project has no access,” Gharg claimed.
Gharg pointed out that GIDC has given permission for the use of same road to Madkaikar builders and Primog Builders. “Our construction work is complete….and now we are marooned,” he commented.
The housing project has three buildings with 16 flats each. Gharg said that the company has already approached High Court, whose order is due on June 29.
