PANJIM: Congress candidate Girish Chodankar alleged that BJP has used the entire government machinery in the election process, including the Election Commission.
Chodankar said, “BJP has used the entire State machinery in the election process to influence voters, including the Election Commission. Election Commission was favouring them”.
Unlike other candidates, Chodankar did not claim victory, stating it is the blessings of voters and he won’t take them (voters) for granted. “I am not declaring that I will win like others. I will wait till August 28 when the blessings of the people will be out,” Chodankar said.
He said the voter turnout in Panjim appears that the constituency is looking for a change. “Connecting with the people is very important in politics and I have achieved it in the 15-16 days of the election campaign,” he said.
He added, “I am here for larger politics, I am here to continue in Panjim. I will be with my supporters who stood with me in the entire election process.”
Chodankar thanked Panjim voters for turning out in large numbers for the polling.
