CURCHOREM: A 13-year-old student committed suicide in her house at Voddlemol, Kakoda in Curchorem on Saturday.
According to Investigation Officer Sanit Kavlekar, the mother of the girl noticed her daughter hanging to a dupptta which was tied to a house rafter in the room and was alive.
“They immediately took her to Curchorem Up-Graded Primary Health Centre from there she was shifted to Goa Medical College, Babolim where she breathed her last in the evening,” Kavlekar said and added that body has been preserved at GMC for post-mortem.
When asked the motive behind committing suicide, Kavlekar informed that her unit test result could be the reason as the school has declared it earlier.
