Hundreds of revellers thronged the streets of the State’s capital city on Saturday for the carnival float parade organised by Goa Tourism in association with CCP. Around 30 floats depicting Goan tradition and conveying various public interest messages participated in various categories like traditional, club/institution, family, clown/joker, fun/junk car rally categories. The float parade was flagged off by Deputy Chief Minister, Manohar (Babu) Ajgaonkar in the presence of Panjim Mayor Uday Madkaikar, Director of Tourism, Menino D’Souza, Panjim Carnival Committee members and others near Santa Monica Jetty, Panjim which culminated at Kala Academy, Panjim.
