GMC conducts two more cochlear implant surgeries

PANJIM: The Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim conducted two more cochlear implant surgeries in the hospital under the guidance of Dr Deepak Dalmia.
Two children namely Shrikant Ramu Chavan (3) and Sajid Islam Miya (2) were operated on Monday under the ADIP scheme of Government of India.
The GMC has so far carried out successful cochlear implant surgeries on nine children.
Mentor surgeon Dr Deepak Dalmia, Professor and Head from Central Railway Hospital, Mumbai, who conducted the surgeries, was  ably supported by GMC team led by Dr H C Goel, Dr Carnegie de Sa, Dr Dheeraj Lombar, Dr Swati, Dr Archan Naik and audiologists Sheena and Rohila.
