PANJIM: Department of Preventive and Social Medicine of Goa Medical College was awarded the SS Lahiri trophy for Best Inter Department Research for the 3rd consecutive year during the annual social gathering of medical college at Kala Academy.
Twelve original research papers were published in international and national indexed medical journals by the faculty and post graduate students during 2017-18.
Professor and Head of the Department, Dr Jagdish A Cacodcar, received the trophy on behalf of the Department from Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude. Health Minister Vishwajit Rane was the Chief Guest for the inaugural function.
