In a shocking incident near Mall De Goa, Porvorim, a Goa-registered vehicle was witnessed being driven in an extremely reckless and negligent manner, with all doors flung open. The Goa Police wasted no time in taking action, and on Monday, they successfully apprehended Fahidh Hamaza, a 37-year-old resident of Karnataka, in connection with the case.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Hamaza under sections 279 and 336 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to rash driving and endangering the life or personal safety of others. Additionally, he has also been charged under section 184(f) of the Motor Vehicles Act, which deals with driving dangerously in a public place.
The incident caused widespread concern and chaos among the public, as the vehicle sped through the area with its doors open, posing a serious threat to pedestrians and other motorists. Further investigation into the matter is underway to determine the motive behind Hamaza’s reckless behaviour and if any other individuals were involved.
