Archbishop of Goa and Daman Rev Fr Filipe Neri Ferrao who is currently in the Vatican had issued circular asking all the parishes to celebrate the canonization of Mother Teresa.
“During the service today, we recalled some moments of her (Mother Teresa’s) life to invite devotion towards her,” Fr Francis Caldeira, attached to St Tome Chapel in Panjim said.
Fr Caldeira, referring to Mother Teresa, said during her India assignment, she saw so much of misery around which changed her life and she became mother of so many distressed people on the street.
He said there will also be a service for whole of the Church on September 13, the day of her funeral, at Se Cathedral Church.
