Speaking to Herald, Goa Dairy Managing Director N C Sawant said that the cooperative has put up notice boards and placed a complaint register at every outlet.
“In Panjim we have installed standees with the information and the contact details for the consumers to register their complaints or provide suggestions for better service,” he added. The customers have also been provided with contact numbers to register their complaints.
Stating that the notice boards have provided tremendous response, Sawant said that along with a few complaints many have placed suggestions. “We have received many suggestions on how the services can be enhanced and in streamlining the availability of the milk”, he stated.
Asked about the complaints of unpleasant smell from the milk, Sawant said, “We have been able to trace that some milk which is being procured from Karnataka, there the feed is of low quality. We have been given to understand that the farmers are feeding leftover vegetables. Thus, we have asked our officials to take correctives measures and resolve the issue.”
He stated that the number of complaints related to odour is on the decline and the issue would be tackled soon.
