VASCO: A woman from Margao committed suicide by jumping into river from Zuari Bridge on Wednesday evening.
According to information, Agassaim police received information from the control room that a woman jumped from the Zuari Bridge at around 4.10 pm. A taxi operator while proceeding towards Panjim saw the woman jumping from the Zuari Bridge.
“Soon after receiving information, we alerted our staff and search and rescue operation of the woman was taken up subsequently by the Coastal and Marine police in the Zuari rivulet, but till late in the evening she was not located and was reported missing,” said an officer.
