PONDA: The Goa Dairy farmers have submitted list of various questions to the Goa Managing/Administrative Committee which they expect clarifications on it at the Annual General Meeting of Goa Dairy scheduled on January 17.
It may be recalled that after the Board of Directors of Goa Dairy dissolved last year by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) alleging mismanagement, the government had appointed three-member Administrative Committee led by a farmer Durgesh Shirodkar as its chairman.
Among the several questions, there are some interesting questions. According to the farmers, the Goa Dairy milk marketing is reduced in recent years.
The farmers questioned what action is required to improve the marketing of Goa Dairy milk sale. They also questioned in order to earn profit by Goa Dairy how much litres of milk should be sold in the Goan market every month (breakaway point to earn profit).
The farmers also sought information as to after reduced marketing, how much quantity of milk is diverted to elsewhere for making other products and its total value.
The farmers also questioned the government appointed committee whether it has any rights for taking policy decisions.
They also sought information with regard to bank deposits in PMC Bank. Besides these, there are several questions made in the memorandum with regard to Goa Dairy affairs.
