PONDA: Goa Dairy has decided to hike milk rates from September 1 by Rs 3 and Rs 4, for its variants. Simultaneously, it has decided to pass on part of the benefit to its milk suppliers by increasing the purchase price of cow milk by Rs 2 and buffalo milk by Rs 4.
Sources in Goa Dairy asserted that albeit the hike in prices, Goa Dairy rates are cheaper as compared to other players in the market.
The sources also said that by passing on the benefits of hike in prices to its suppliers, Goa Dairy would to retain them from switching over to rival dairies.
